Sharing My World – Introversion

The Share Your World-  writing challenge is brought to us each week by the lovely Cee via her Photography Blog. It consists of 4 questions she makes to get to know each other better.

This weeks’s questions are inspired by the concept of introversion.

Do you recharge your energy by going out with friends for a good time or by spending with quiet time alone?

The word “recharge” is key here. I do love hanging out with friends, I always have fun with them, however I definitely recharge by having my quiet time. In fact, I don’t have to be alone for this. Anyone can join me in my quiet time, presence doesn’t bother me (usually). I think this is how my hubby and I can be together 24/7 because we don’t have to be talking or paying attention to each other all the time. We can just be doing each our own thing, together.

What is the most number of blankets you’ve ever had on your bed?

Odd question. I don’t even know. Three? I don’t know.

You are invited to a party that will be attended by many fascinating people you never met. Would you attend this party if you were to go by yourself?

No, I would not attend. There is nothing less “inviting” to me than attending a party by myself with a bunch of strangers, whether they are amazing people or not. I guess this is clue of me being an introvert. It is just exhausting to me to start relationships, the small talk, the possible judgement, the fake smiling, remembering names, the fake interest… It’s not all bad, but I much rather stay at home than go meet people. Sorry people. If I could go with someone I know, that would be a different story. It just makes it a hundred times easier. Will there be food and drinks?

Do you like talking to people on the phone? Or do you prefer voice mail or email?

I hate the phone. (Maybe another big clue of being an introvert?) I will avoid using the phone as much as I can. You can leave a voice mail, I check those, and I will text you back or email you, thanks. I even prefer talking to you in person than on the phone.

Me walking in India. (Btw, that is not a gay flag bag, it's just a colorful bag... I have nothing against gay, but just wanted to point it out.)

I invite you to share your world too! You can answer one or more of these questions on the comments below, or write your own post.

  1. I adored your answers. The fake talk, smile, etc. Only an introvert would say that, but then only an introvert could understand it too. Thanks so much for sharing. I hope to see you next week!
