Regarding animals would you prefer not having them around or having domestics pets, farm animals, or seeing them in nature or the zoo?

I love animals. I have always liked animals, but in the most recent years I have grown to love them more. Last year we had to give away our two amazing cats before our move to India and in the last 8 months we weren’t allowed to have pets so I volunteered at the shelter to get my animal fix. Last week we moved in to a new place where the owner and friend has permitted us to have pets and I really want a get a cat or two. Cats are my favorite animals. Since I was a kid I loved tigers and when I finally got a cat of my own a few years ago, I became a bit obsessed with them.

Several things actually: Pen, ibuprofen, chapstick, kleenex, chewing gum and camera. I think the reasons are pretty obvious.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to have a music band with 12 songs in my album. Then, around 10 years old, an uncle’s girlfriend instilled in me the interest of studying hospitality & hotel management because she taught me how to fold napkins like swans and I decided I wanted to work in the ice hotel in Finland.

I also wanted to be a dancer, and finally in High School, I decided I wanted to work in the film industry (as an editor or director of photography).

I did study film but I became none of those things.

These are this weeks’s questions:

What is your most favorite smell/scent?

I love the smell of fresh roses, fresh laundry, fresh baked cookies, the smell of new cars, and I’m a citrus girl when it comes to wearing perfume.

How do you write: computer, longhand or other?

I still use my handwriting which is a combination of cursive and print for grocery lists, jotting down directions (I don’t own a GPS or a smartphone), and surprise love notes that I leave around for my hubby.

These are this weeks’s questions:

If you were an ice cream cone how many scoops and flavors would you be and why?

If I answer the question as it was asked, I would be a small cone with one scoop because I am a petite person, and I would probably be any light brown flavor such as milk chocolate because of my Hispanic skin, and I would have a raspberry drizzle, as my iconic accessory is a scarf with a pop of color.

Now, if the question was subtly asking me what my favorite ice cream cone is, then I would say skip the cone and give me a cup with seven mini scoops of gelato (so I can get to taste many flavors) including dark chocolate, bailey’s, pistachio, salted caramel, rose, limoncello, and green tea. I can never pick only one, but I don’t eat that much, so many mini scoops would be perfect.

Would you rather be given $10,000 for your own use or $100,000 to give anonymously to strangers?

This is a tough one because even though the obvious answer for me would be the $100,000 to give away, I don’t like giving money to strangers. I don’t like helping them that way. I prefer helping them in other ways, such as giving them a hand, or providing them with a meal, or a home, or paying their bills or tuition or hospital bills, etc.. but I don’t like handing them money. If I’m allowed to use the money in strangers this way, then I choose that.

What is your favorite couch potato activity: readings, watching movies, watching sports, napping, anything on TV, computer games, play cards, or other?

My favorite couch potato activity would be watching movies with my hubby with a sweet or savory snack involved. I prefer movies, but some TV (Hulu or Netflix) is good too. We like watching Downton Abbey, Sherlock, The Amazing Race, Master Chef, the Olympics, SNL, and “oldies” like Friday Night Lights and House.
