Our vacations can be so important to us, whether that is going away as a family, a couple or an individual. Travelling is good for the soul. However, choosing where you next take a vacation can be an overwhelming decision to make. You may have a big long checklist of criteria, or you might just want something unusual or different. So I thought now would be the perfect time to share with you some vacation destinations to consider and inspire your travel plans this year.

France

France is a wonderful country offering each of us the perfect vacation. If a city break is your thing, then Paris is worth a visit. You can get lost in the cobbled streets looking through boutique shops, or you can take a trip up the Eiffel Tower. If you are more into beaches, then look no further than Nice. Southern France has many hotspots to consider. Above all else the French cuisine is something to experience.

Mexico

I was raised in Mexico City, so, of course, I will always advocate that Mexico is a place to visit. It can be the perfect place to enjoy cocktails and white sandy beaches or marvel at the rich heritage, architecture and history. You can get cheap holidays in Cancun around this time of year where you can swim with dolphins, soak in the sun, enjoy the nightlife and, even go on adventures like zip-lining and off road driving. High season is anywhere from December through to April.

The Caribbean

If you have never experienced any of the Caribbean Islands then maybe this year is the perfect time. With many to choose from the difficult decision will be to pick one, but there is probably no wrong choice. Barbados offers glistening sandy beaches whereas Jamaica has a real relaxing vibe. It would be difficult not to fall in love with any of these islands.

England

If you are looking for a more alternative vacation then why not visit England. Visiting England’s countryside might not come to mind as a great escape but could become one of the of the best holidays you will ever remember. There is lots of history and sightseeing to please your senses. While you may not always get the perfect weather, you are bound to fall in love with greenery and countryside that England has to offer. Just be prepared for rain.

Australia

If you fancy having a holiday of a lifetime then why not consider Australia with many cosmopolitan cities to explore and surfer’s paradise beaches to escape to. It’s difficult to find a reason not to check out this vast country. Australia is bigger than you think. So you will never be able to explore everywhere, but it will offer a vacation to remember that is for sure.

Canada

Finally, why not consider visiting Canada for your next vacation. You could witness the wonder that is Niagara Falls, or explore cities like Montreal or Vancouver. Canada offers a great combination of city life, and outdoor and nature exploring. There is a lot to discover in Canada, more so than you think. This means it could be a destination you return to for years to come.

I hope this may have inspired you to pick your next vacation destination.

Have you been to any of these places? Where would you like to go next?

  1. Great..Added to my bucket list 🙂 I’ve been to Paris out of them, fell in love with the city instantly 🙂 Thinking about Austria & Czech Republic for my next trip.

  2. Excellent list, Mani! I have only been to France (in Paris) out of those. Those are very interesting & beautiful countries and I want to visit all of those. But not this year definitely, as I have used most of my free days already and I am using the rest for a road trip from Poland to Croatia this summer 🙂
